On the occasion of “International Day for Older Persons – October 1st, 2020”, the LovenHeal team visited SwarnaVihar Old Age Homes, located in the fascinating mountains of Pashan.
It was an outstanding experience to connect with the elderly and wise side of society. Most of the elderly were receptive and present during the session though some suffered from less hearing, Alzheimer’s, and other chronic ailments. The world has cornered them, and they believe they have become a burden to the outer society. They are isolated from their families and loved ones, and they are forced to chose a new life—one that is far from their loved ones. We need to break this belief; it’s time.
If we could only utilize the potential of wisdom from these senior members, their capacities, and their ground-breaking ideas, we can create new things.
The innocence of the members touched us despite the experience that they had. They listened to the healing session attentively and connected with our team, irrespective of their speech or physical deformities and other cognitive ailments. They shared their pains and happy memories with us.
Dr. Archanna Samant, a veteran Reiki Grandmaster, Angel Healer, and Psychoanalyst, explained what Reiki healing is and how it can enhance life quality. To our surprise, a lot of elderly ones were curious and asked several questions. We had displayed a counter to show Crystals, Angels, and Stones. They touched the crystals and inquired what their benefits are.
A retired Police officer was fit, who said that “he opted to stay here and rethink what he wants to do in life.” There were educated elders as well as ignorant ones. One thing was common: all of them felt responsible for their children. They were asking questions about their kid’s betterment. We admired their love and warmth for their children. We are delighted to receive such cooperation from old folks despite so many physical and mental ailments.
